Our Story

Established in 1974 in Boca Raton, Florida, Reid Travel continues to pride ourselves on bespoke service rooted in global connections and decades of experience in luxury travel. For nearly fifty years, our Luxury Cruise Department has been able to procure cruise privileges including exclusive savings, upgrades, shipboard credits and complimentary shore excursions. At the same time, our Luxury Land Tours Department is complimented by the fact that we are a member of Signature Travel Network, a cooperative of the travel industry’s leading retail travel agencies. Thus, as a Signature-affiliated agency, Reid Travel has access to destination specialists around the world, enabling us to arrange one-of-a-kind experiences for your travel.

The global pandemic transformed the international and national travel industry, including Reid Travel, as our office on Palmetto Park Rd closed in 2020. Nevertheless, two long-standing agents with Reid Travel, Julia Shore and Janet Pringle, decided to take it upon themselves to buy the company and transform it into a luxury travel agency that strives to be on the pulse of current travel needs in an ever-changing, post-pandemic world. Although the majority of our business is still in luxury cruising, Reid Travel is dedicated to developing our land tours. In particular, we are creating a Luxury Wellness Department, specializing in all-inclusive wellness resorts around the globe, as well as a specialist who is dedicated to all-things Africa.

Julia Shore, now President and CEO, and Janet Pringle, now Vice President and COO, not only have a combined 60 years of travel experience under their belts, but they kept the Reid Travel Team together and have exciting plans for the future of luxury custom vacations and unique niche trips exclusive to Reid Travel. Those travelers who are curious about the world, including its many cultures, histories, cuisines, and landscapes, will be happy to leave their travel arrangements in the hands of Reid Travel experts.

Reid Travel is now by appointment only, as we want to be fully committed to every trip we plan. If you’d like to book a consultation or to discuss your travel details, we have a beautiful office, where we will be happy to assist you. Samantha Niederman, Director of Business Development, and Whitney Roper, Director of Marketing and Social Media Development, work closely with Julia and Janet to implement their creative visions into the new Reid Travel. The rest of our dedicated agents have been part of a tightly-knit, work-family for several generations.
